The Alice Fund (Alice Fonds) is an Antwerp charity providing financial and practical support for newborn premature babies and their parents. It was established in 1994 by the Ryans, an Irish couple then living in Lier, whose premature baby Alice died after leaving hospital. The Ryans were members of the St Boniface Antwerp community, and Alice’s funeral took place in the Church.

Cairan, Alice’s brother, a renowned international baritone, will be touring Benelux in late March and willcome to St Boniface to give a benefit concert in support of the Alice fund. He’ll be supported by Emma Char, mezzosoprano, and accompanied by Aäron Wajnberg on piano.

The concert (with reception) takes place on Saturday April 1st, at 20:00. Tickets (€10 in pre-sale) can be reserved via the Alice Fund website (www.alicefonds.be) or by telephone (0499/980890).
